SENIOR AMAZON CONNECT ENGINEER

Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Amazon Connect Engineer / Developer to join a project for a client in the banking sector in Canada. The person in this role will design, develop and support Contact Center solutions, working primarily with Amazon Connect and complementary technologies. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys building reliable, scalable customer engagement systems. Responsibilities • Design, implement and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows and integrations. • Develop and deploy serverless and backend components using Python (and Node.js where applicable). • Integrate Amazon Connect with other platforms such as Cyara and Genesys as required by the solution. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions for Contact Center use cases. • Participate in testing, tuning and performance optimization of contact center services. • Provide technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge transfer to operations teams. • Support deployment pipelines and contribute to automation for development, testing and release processes. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in IT projects. • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Connect. • Practical programming experience in Python. • Experience working with Amazon Connect, Cyara and Genesys. • Familiarity with Node.js is an advantage. • Strong understanding of Contact Center concepts and architectures. • English language proficiency at minimum B2 level. • Profile: a developer/engineer rather than a business consultant, with proven independence and practical experience in Contact Center implementations and development.
