GIS SPECIALIST

<p><strong>AECOM </strong>is actively seeking a highly motivated <strong>Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist</strong> <strong>I</strong> for employment. The appropriately qualified applicant will use Esri’s ArcGIS suite of products on a wide variety of environmental and engineering projects.</p><p><em>This position is expected to begin ASAP.</em></p><p><strong>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Independently executes and delivers GIS projects varying from basic to moderate to significant scopes and complexity.</li><li>Develop databases and various mapping outputs to support reports and other project deliverables.</li><li>Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.</li><li>Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.</li><li>Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.</li><li>Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation.</li><li>Work directly with Level I/II/III/IV GIS Specialists and Project Managers.</li><li>Assist field teams with field mapping preparation, field data collection/data extraction and other related activities.</li></ul> <p><em><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></em></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field, and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li><li>Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.</li></ul><p><em><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></em></p><ul><li>Strong communications skills and ability to independently manage workload schedules.</li><li>Relevant year/s&#xa0;of GIS or other relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li><li>Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal and/or other relevant ArcGIS software and an understanding of the ESRI suite of products.</li><li>AutoCAD experience.</li><li>Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization and cartographic design.</li></ul> <ul><li>Relocation assistance is not available for this position.</li></ul><div sr-tagline=""></div><p>At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. <strong><em>To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.</em></strong></p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>About AECOM</strong>&#xa0;</p><p>AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
