BACKEND DEVELOPER LEVEL III

Role Overview We are seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale large-scale distributed systems supporting enterprise fulfillment platforms. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on Node.js , TypeScript, Azure, microservices, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have recent production experience building and operating resilient cloud-native backend systems and be comfortable with scalability, reliability, messaging, observability, failure handling, and production support. Must-Have Qualifications • 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong, recent Node.js backend development • Strong TypeScript development experience • Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems • Meaningful, recent Microsoft Azure experience • Strong REST API development experience • Experience with microservices/service-oriented architectures • Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures • Strong understanding of distributed-system concepts: • Scalability • High availability • Fault tolerance • Idempotency • Retry strategies • Eventual consistency • Service-to-service communication • Failure recovery • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience • Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested production code • Production application troubleshooting and support experience • Strong understanding of reliability, resilience, and observability • Ability to make engineering decisions within established architecture • Strong communication and collaboration skills
