We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in e-commerce development, platform customization, integrations, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and a proven ability to build, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain scalable e-commerce applications.
You will work closely with product managers, business analysts, UI/UX teams, QA engineers, and other technology teams to deliver high-quality digital commerce experiences. The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage production issues effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, customize, and maintain scalable e-commerce applications using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) .
• Develop and enhance SFCC storefront features, cartridges, controllers, pipelines, jobs, scripts, and business logic.
• Work on integrations between SFCC and external systems such as payment gateways, order management systems, ERP, CRM, PIM, shipping, tax, search, and marketing platforms.
• Develop and maintain robust SFCC integrations using APIs, web services, REST, SOAP, and other integration technologies.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable SFCC solutions.
• Provide production support for SFCC applications, troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
• Monitor application performance, investigate production incidents, and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
• Participate in deployments, releases, hotfixes, and environment management across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Optimize application performance, page load times, code quality, and overall storefront reliability.
• Collaborate with QA teams to develop testable solutions and resolve defects identified during testing.
• Follow Salesforce Commerce Cloud development best practices, coding standards, security guidelines, and deployment processes.
• Contribute to technical documentation, solution design, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, development, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience in e-commerce development and production support .
• Strong understanding of SFCC integrations with third-party and enterprise systems.
• Experience with SFCC B2C Commerce, Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA), cartridges, controllers, jobs, scripts, and ISML templates.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web development fundamentals.
• Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs and external service integrations.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience handling production incidents in business-critical e-commerce environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good-to-Have Skills
• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Knowledge of OCAPI, SCAPI, SFCC Web Services, and third-party API integrations.
• Experience with payment, order management, search, personalization, analytics, or marketing integrations.
• Understanding of cloud-based application architecture and performance optimization.
• Experience working with large-scale or high-traffic e-commerce platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
