Duties & Responsibilities Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Junior Java Developer to oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade web portals and digital experience solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java/J2EE and related frameworks, combined with proven leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of developers. Key Responsibilities - Define coding standards and best practices for portal and web application development. - Provide hands-on support in coding, debugging, and optimizing applications when necessary. - Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Team Leads, Seniors, and Architects to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Oversee integration of Liferay portals with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, ECM). - Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. - Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback. Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 2+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development. - Expertise in Java, including customization, theming, portlet/module development, and OSGi frameworks. - Proficiency in Spring, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful services, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; React/Angular is a plus). - Understanding of software design principles, microservices, cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience integrating Liferay with identity management (SSO, LDAP, OAuth2, SAML). - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications Liferay certification(s) are a plus.
