Job description

Accountabilities: • Transform source data into reliable, structured datasets that support monthly billing, revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Validate employee benefits and partner enrollment data against customer source counts and the actual figures used for GAAP-compliant revenue accounting. • Own the ongoing health and reliability of the billing engine by performing regular QA on Python and SQL logic, monitoring discrepancies, and troubleshooting production issues. • Debug, maintain, and improve existing billing-engine code to resolve data or invoicing issues while minimizing disruption to partner billing and downstream reporting. • Design and implement new invoicing logic and billing workflows to accommodate evolving contract structures, partner models, pricing arrangements, and business requirements. • Translate business and contractual requirements into clear technical logic, working iteratively with stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure accurate implementation. • Analyze financial and operational datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improved revenue operations. • Support billing, reconciliation, forecasting, and revenue reporting processes by ensuring data quality and consistency across systems. • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Partner Revenue Operations on ad hoc analytical projects, system integrations, and process improvements. • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data, billing, and revenue-related questions efficiently. • Contribute to the continuous improvement and scalability of partner revenue processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. • 2–3 years of progressive experience in data analytics, ideally involving financial, billing, revenue, or business data. • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python , including the ability to query, transform, and manipulate large datasets efficiently. • Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud-based data analytics and engineering environments. • Hands-on experience building data logic, pipelines, or automated workflows, particularly those supporting billing, invoicing, or revenue processes. • Ability to translate complex business or contract requirements into technical logic and collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements and assumptions. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure data accuracy. • Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles, including familiarity with relevant tax considerations. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial and revenue data accurately. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, financial, and business teams. • Experience with billing processes, system integrations, revenue recognition, invoicing, or reconciliation is highly desirable. • Familiarity with Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara , or comparable financial, CRM, billing, or sales-tax platforms is a plus. • Understanding of subscription-based, usage-based, revenue-share, tiered-pricing, or other complex billing models is advantageous. Benefits: • Salary: $75,000–$90,000 USD annually, with compensation varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. • Fully remote position for candidates based in the United States. • Competitive overall compensation package. • Health and wellness benefits. • Retirement savings plans. • Parental leave. • Additional employee benefits designed to support wellbeing and work-life balance. • Inclusive and accessible work environment. • Equal employment opportunities for qualified candidates.
