Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Public Relations & Corporate Communications professional to lead and strengthen its global communications, media relations, reputation management and corporate communications function.The successful candidate will be responsible for:<ul><li>Developing and implementing the organisation’s Public Relations, Earned Media and Corporate Communications Strategy.</li><li>Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, podcast hosts and other key influencers.</li><li>Managing media enquiries, interviews, press releases, media statements, pitches and thought-leadership opportunities.</li><li>Preparing executives for interviews, speaking engagements and major announcements, including speeches, talking points and briefing materials.</li><li>Developing clear and consistent messaging for major initiatives, partnerships, products, reports and organisational developments.</li><li>Leading reputation monitoring and management, identifying emerging risks and opportunities and advising senior leadership.</li><li>Developing and coordinating crisis communications plans, response protocols, stakeholder messaging and crisis preparedness exercises.</li><li>Managing internal communications to ensure employees remain informed, aligned and connected to organisational priorities.</li><li>Coordinating communications with Network Members, Strategic Partners and affiliated organisations.</li><li>Establishing communication metrics, dashboards and regular reports to measure visibility, credibility, reputation and strategic impact.</li><li>Managing relationships and performance of external PR agencies and communications partners.</li></ul> THE IDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will possess:<ul><li>A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.</li><li>At least 5 years’ relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations or journalism.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading communications initiatives across multiple countries, regions or global markets.</li><li>Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and executive communication skills.</li><li>Strong experience in media relations, reputation management, crisis and issues communications.</li><li>Proven ability to develop compelling media stories and secure meaningful earned media opportunities.</li><li>Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder management, project management and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Sound judgement, discretion, initiative and the ability to work independently in a dynamic global environment.</li><li>Experience in philanthropy, nonprofit services, financial services, fintech, impact investing or international development will be an added advantage.</li><li>Familiarity with PR and media monitoring platforms such as Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack or similar tools is desirable.</li></ul>           Work Environment<ul><li> Regular workdays run from roughly 1400–2200 (EAT) to overlap with European and US Eastern Time work hours.</li><li> Willingness to work more than 8 hours per day as needed during peak periods.</li></ul>If you meet the requirements and are motivated by this opportunity, apply using the link below:                         Visit www.verde-edge.com to apply by 1st September 2026, 5:00 PM.                                         Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.                       Verde Edge Consulting Ltd | Integrity • Compliance • Excellence
