SENIOR SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER

We are is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to design, develop and deliver robust SharePoint solutions within on-premises environments. The person in this role will lead technical design, implement custom SharePoint applications and support large-scale migrations while ensuring adherence to Microsoft standards and best practices. Responsibilities • Develop custom SharePoint solutions and applications for SharePoint 2016 and 2022 on-premises environments. • Design and implement JavaScript-based customisations, including jQuery, JSLink-driven changes, TypeScript and CSS. • Create and maintain SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions and provider-hosted applications. • Develop and maintain supporting .NET / C# class libraries that interact with the SharePoint Client Object Model (CSOM). • Customise SharePoint lists, forms and content types and implement event handlers and client-side customisations. • Perform unit testing, prepare test cases and testing templates to support user acceptance testing (UAT). • Participate in full solution lifecycle activities: requirements gathering, design, estimation, development, testing, deployment and migration. • Execute large-scale SharePoint migration activities and related integrations with SQL Server and external APIs. • Use automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, PnP and XML where appropriate; leverage Power Platform or similar tools as needed. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine and validate requirements; present technical proposals to both technical and business audiences. • Contribute reusable assets, documentation and knowledge to support future projects and maintain alignment with Microsoft recommended practices. • Provide input to business development activities and contribute to the growth of the consulting practice. Qualifications • Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience with a substantial focus on SharePoint (2016/2022 on-premises). • Proven hands-on experience developing custom SharePoint solutions, including SPFx and provider-hosted applications. • Strong expertise in the JavaScript ecosystem: jQuery, TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js and Office UI Fabric (Fluent UI). • Solid experience with .NET and C#, including development with CSOM and class libraries. • Practical knowledge of SharePoint customisation: lists, forms, content types, event handlers and client-side rendering techniques. • Experience with SQL Server, APIs and system integrations. • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, designing solutions and executing migrations of SharePoint-based systems. • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. • Hands-on experience with large-scale SharePoint migrations. • Familiarity with PowerShell, XML, PnP and at least one component of the Power Platform. • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and business stakeholders. • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
