Job description
About the Client
Our client is a leading provider of remote staffing solutions, connecting businesses and healthcare organizations with highly skilled, pre-vetted Virtual Assistants. Serving hundreds of clients across multiple industries and specialties, the company helps organizations streamline operations, improve productivity, and scale efficiently through dedicated remote talent. My Mountain Mover is known for its rigorous recruitment process, comprehensive onboarding support, and commitment to delivering exceptional client and employee experiences.
About the Role
Our client is hiring a Business Development Representative to generate and nurture new business leads for our US-based client base. This is not an end-to-end sales role - BDRs own the front end of the pipeline (prospecting, cold calling, and appointment setting) and hand off closed accounts to our Placements and Account Management teams. Because this role is directly client-facing, strong English fluency and a polished, professional presence are non-negotiable.
• Health Insurance/HMO
• Enjoy unlimited MadMax Coffee
• Diverse learning & growth opportunities
• Accessible Cloud HR platform (Sprout)
• Above standard leaves
• Incentives up to $6000 per year
Required Qualifications
• Prospect and qualify new outbound sales leads - the majority of pipeline activity should be outbound, not inbound
• Conduct cold calls and manage appointment setting with prospective clients
• Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects for the closing team
• Track all activity in Salesforce, maintaining tasks and keeping account information current
• Communicate lead pain points and challenges to the Placements team and Account Managers
• Maintain a well-developed, nurtured pipeline of prospects and build strong, ongoing relationships with leads
• Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the overall sales process
• Maintain accurate data entry in Salesforce and the Sales Report
• Stay open to ongoing training and coaching, and perform other ad hoc sales-related tasks as needed
Reporting Structure
• Reports into MMM's Sales leadership
• Hands off closed deals to the Placements team and Account Managers, who own post-sale account health and retention
Role-Specific Expectations & Business Context
• BDRs own the top of the funnel only: lead generation → appointment setting → close → handoff. Post-sale account ownership sits with Placements/Account Management, not the BDR
• Incentive/commission programs are available for closed deals originating from a BDR's leads (specific terms shared during the offer stage)
• Schedule: Pacific Standard Time, typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM PST
• 2+ years of sales experience (staffing solutions, healthcare, or general business backgrounds all considered)
• Proven experience selling to US-based clients
• Proven track record of managing customer relationships and meeting/exceeding sales targets
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills - a non-negotiable requirement given direct US client contact
• Majority of prior experience should be in outbound sales (cold calling, prospecting) rather than inbound
• Ability to make quick decisions and stay highly self-motivated
• Amenable to work as Independent Contractor
• Experience selling staffing solutions, particularly within healthcare
• Local US accent is a plus
• Experience with email-based outbound campaigns
• Working knowledge of Salesforce and RingCentral
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Gmail, Monday.com, and Time Clock Wizard
• Confident but not aggressive communication style - able to read and match the right energy for each client
• Self-motivated, decisive, and coachable
• Solid product knowledge to speak credibly with prospects
