Job description

Accountabilities • Support project coordination: Assist with coordinating construction activities to align with drawings, specifications, schedules, project requirements, and established procedures. • Manage project documentation: Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement items, punch lists, closeout materials, and other project records using established systems. • Assist with project controls: Support updates to schedules, budgets, dashboards, productivity information, and internal tracking tools under appropriate supervision. • Coordinate project communications: Support communication between internal project teams, clients, contractors, vendors, trade partners, and other stakeholders. • Conduct field observations: Participate in field walks to monitor construction progress, quality conformance, safety expectations, and project conditions. • Document field activity: Prepare photos, daily notes, field reports, logs, issue tracking, progress updates, and other construction documentation. • Support quality and commissioning: Assist with punch-list management, testing verification, closeout documentation, and commissioning readiness, including coordination with quality and commissioning teams. • Review construction documents: Develop familiarity with drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, scope requirements, sequencing, and how design information translates into field execution. • Prepare reports and updates: Assist with weekly progress reports, meeting notes, visual updates, project summaries, schedule updates, risks, open items, and performance metrics. • Promote digital efficiency: Use AI-enabled and digital tools to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality project delivery. • Support safety and compliance: Follow site safety, HSE, LOTO, quality, and compliance requirements while escalating concerns or recurring issues to project leadership. • Complete assigned deliverables: Manage assigned tasks, hours, documentation, and deliverables while meeting project deadlines and budget expectations. Requirements • SkillBridge eligibility: Must be a current participant in the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, ideally able to participate for at least 90 days, with programs of up to 180 days accommodated. • Education or technical experience: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline is preferred/qualifying; alternatively, relevant hands-on experience with installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls, and/or electrical infrastructure may qualify. • Industry knowledge: Foundational knowledge of construction, facilities, engineering, maintenance, logistics, project coordination, quality, safety, or related operational disciplines. • Construction management aptitude: Ability and willingness to learn scheduling, budgeting, project coordination, documentation, quality tracking, commissioning, and closeout processes. • Mission-critical interest: Ability to develop an understanding of commissioning processes involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and life-safety systems in complex facilities. • Technology proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, with strong digital file-management and organizational skills. • Attention to detail: Demonstrated ability to complete assignments accurately, maintain organized records, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey both technical and non-technical information clearly. • Remote work capability: Self-motivated, resourceful, proactive, organized, and able to work effectively in a remote environment while following established guidance and supervision. • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams while also managing individual responsibilities independently. • Adaptability: Comfortable working under pressure, meeting close deadlines, learning new processes, and adapting to changing project needs. • Innovation mindset: Willingness to use AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and contribute to continuous improvement. • Certifications: Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications as required. • Travel readiness: Valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles, with willingness to travel extensively to active construction sites throughout the United States. • Physical readiness: Ability to work in office, critical-facility, outdoor, and field environments, including navigating stairs and ladders, working around equipment, and occasionally handling equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. • Location and travel: Must be located near a major U.S. airport and able to travel up to 75% domestically, with potential for relocation or international assignments depending on project requirements.
