Job description
Accountabilities:
• Develop the strategy for product opportunities that can be pursued through strategic partnerships, including competitive analysis, market sizing, partner diligence, and build-versus-partner recommendations.
• Evaluate potential opportunities across commercial potential, risk, competitive dynamics, operational requirements, technical complexity, legal and compliance considerations, and product implications.
• Prepare and present partnership opportunities to senior leadership, clearly communicating market potential, risks, costs, revenue opportunities, and execution requirements.
• Represent the organization externally with prospective and strategic partners, building strong relationships and serving as a credible business representative.
• Lead partner selection processes, from initial evaluation and diligence through commercial negotiations and final agreement.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts while collaborating with internal stakeholders to protect business interests and establish partnerships for long-term success.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other teams to ensure partnership opportunities are thoroughly evaluated and effectively implemented.
• Own strategic initiatives from initial concept through execution, maintaining momentum and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve partnership strategies, processes, and outcomes while balancing short-term execution with long-term business objectives.
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience operating in a 0-to-1 environment , with a strong track record of taking ownership of initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Proven ability to drive financial or business results through strategy, partnerships, business development, or related functions.
• Experience in fintech or financial services , with a strong understanding of relevant products, markets, and industry dynamics.
• Experience negotiating and successfully closing significant strategic partnership agreements.
• Background in strategy, business operations, partnerships, or a related field supporting senior leadership decision-making.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess market opportunities, competitive dynamics, risks, and long-term versus short-term tradeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Highly proactive and entrepreneurial, with the ability to identify opportunities, move quickly, and execute without extensive direction.
• Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment where priorities evolve and individuals are expected to take ownership and deliver results.
• Low-ego, collaborative approach with a strong willingness to work cross-functionally and contribute as both a strategist and an executor.
