Job description
Accountabilities:
• Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for the Global Tax Reporting organization, aligning priorities, capabilities, and operating models with broader Finance and business objectives.
• Lead worldwide quarterly and annual income tax provision activities under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax accounting, effective tax rate analysis, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and return-to-provision analyses.
• Oversee global direct tax compliance across U.S. federal, state and local, and international jurisdictions, including filings, estimated payments, extensions, reconciliations, and external service providers.
• Serve as the senior technical tax accounting leader, advising on complex business initiatives, tax legislation, accounting standards, regulatory developments, and strategic transactions.
• Lead preparation and review of tax-related financial statement disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings, earnings releases, and other reporting requirements.
• Own the global tax reporting control environment, including SOX compliance, documentation, audit readiness, governance, and risk management.
• Drive AI, automation, analytics, and digital transformation across tax provision, compliance, forecasting, research, documentation, and reporting activities.
• Build an AI-first culture that uses technology to increase productivity and analytical quality while maintaining professional judgment, confidentiality, governance, and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance Transformation, Technology, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to implement scalable tools and eliminate unnecessary manual processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through clear priorities, accountability, succession planning, and career development.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, external auditors, tax authorities, advisors, and other regulatory partners.
• Lead support for external and internal audits, ensuring complex tax positions, judgments, and financial reporting conclusions are clearly documented and appropriately reviewed.
• Identify emerging tax, regulatory, business, and technology trends, proactively assessing risks and opportunities and translating complex matters into practical recommendations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, combined with 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience.
• Active CPA certification and substantial experience leading global tax reporting and compliance within a multinational public company.
• At least 5 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in worldwide direct tax compliance, income tax accounting, financial reporting, and ASC 740.
• Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state and local, and international income tax requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax reporting processes, controls, audits, regulatory requirements, and financial statement disclosures.
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, identify and escalate risks appropriately, and provide clear, business-oriented recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong executive communication, organizational, project management, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships across Finance, Accounting, Technology, and business functions.
• Experience using generative AI, automation, advanced analytics, and modern finance or tax technologies to improve operational effectiveness.
• Strong adaptability, curiosity, collaboration, and ability to operate effectively through organizational and technological change.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, an MBA in Finance, or a related field.
• Preferred: Big Four public accounting experience and/or experience within the technology or SaaS sector.
• Preferred: Experience with tax and finance technologies such as OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Workiva, SAP, Oracle, Alteryx, or comparable platforms.

• Annual base salary ranging from $239,700 to $405,400 USD , depending on U.S. geographic zone, experience, skills, and level.
