Job description

Accountabilities • Partner directly with the Director of Strategic Finance and cross-functional leaders to analyze business performance and support high-priority strategic decisions. • Build sophisticated financial models from scratch to evaluate business opportunities, operational performance, pricing, staffing, resource allocation, and other strategic initiatives. • Own end-to-end analytical workstreams, taking ambiguous or loosely defined business questions and developing structured analyses, recommendations, and actionable next steps. • Connect operational drivers—including scheduling, provider payments, customer invoicing, product usage, and revenue—to financial outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement. • Support meaningful portions of the FP&A cycle, including forecasting, planning, performance analysis, and development of the narrative behind financial results. • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Product, and other business teams to understand upstream operational dynamics before they impact financial performance. • Translate complex and multi-layered data into clear insights that enable leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to make timely, informed decisions. • Investigate large, messy, or incomplete datasets, identify the most important questions, pressure-test assumptions, and develop well-supported recommendations. • Act as an internal consulting partner for complex business problems that may not have an obvious owner, helping teams structure problems and move from analysis to execution. • Develop and improve analytical processes, financial frameworks, and reporting approaches as the organization scales. • Communicate findings with precision, adapting the level of detail and context to the audience, decision, and business situation. • Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis. Requirements • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally combining an early-career background in investment banking, management consulting, or transaction advisory with experience in FP&A, Strategy, or Operations at a scaling organization. • Strong hands-on financial modeling experience, including the ability to build and structure models independently from scratch. • Demonstrated ability to translate financial and operational data into practical business recommendations and decisions. • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Operations, Product, Strategy, or other business functions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with large, messy, or incomplete datasets. • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem solving; comfortable identifying the right questions and creating structure without waiting for a fully defined brief. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and business concepts clearly while preserving important nuance. • Strong judgment and the ability to distinguish between details that require deeper investigation and information that can be communicated at a higher level. • Ability to operate as an internal consultant, structuring ambiguous problems, developing analytical cases, and driving recommendations toward measurable business outcomes. • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand broader business strategy and organizational priorities. • Experience in SaaS, legal technology, marketplace, or similarly complex and scaling business models is highly desirable. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with significant ownership and visibility. Benefits • Competitive base salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year. • Stock options providing an opportunity to participate in the organization's growth. • Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage with generous employer contributions toward premiums. • Flexible paid time off (PTO) supporting a healthy work-life balance. • Remote-first work environment with flexibility and autonomy. • Home office setup support to help enable productive remote work. • Wellness and mental health benefits available for employees and families. • High-impact work and meaningful ownership , with opportunities to shape strategic finance processes and influence business decisions. • Cross-functional exposure through close collaboration with Sales, Operations, Product, and senior leadership. • Professional growth opportunities with increasing scope and the opportunity to develop into a trusted strategic thought partner. • Collaborative environment designed for analytical problem-solvers who value curiosity, precision, and continuous improvement.
