<p><strong>REMOTE POSITION for Michigan residence</strong></p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full-Time, 7am-3:30pm</p><p><strong>Department:</strong> Trauma Services</p><p><strong>GENERAL SUMMARY</strong>: As a Trauma Program Registrar, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and excellence of our Trauma Registry operations. Working with minimal supervision, you will manage all critical components of our trauma data ecosystem—from collection and entry through analysis and reporting—ensuring our hospital maintains its prestigious Verified Trauma Center designation. Your work directly supports compliance with American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards and enables data-driven improvements in patient care outcomes.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Oversee comprehensive Trauma Registry operations, including meticulous data collection, accurate data entry, and efficient data retrieval processes</li><li>Maintain exceptional data quality and integrity standards, implementing best practices aligned with current ACS Resource for the Optimal Care of the Injured Patient guidelines</li><li>Conduct meaningful data analysis and generate statistical reports that inform clinical decision-making and program improvements</li><li>Collaborate with state and regional regulatory agencies, providing required data submissions that ensure continued accreditation and compliance with trauma center standards</li><li>Translate complex trauma data into clear, actionable displays and statistical analyses for clinical and administrative stakeholders</li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert on trauma registry operations, supporting quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts</li></ul><p> </p>
<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</strong>:</p><ul><li>Associate Degree in Health Information Technology/Management or completion of a correspondence course sponsored by the American Health Information Management Association as required. OR Commensurate Trauma Registry experience (i.e., American Trauma Society (ATS) Registry Course and/or Abbreviated Injury Severity (AIS) Scoring Course. </li><li>Must possess intermediate computer skills to be able to input data, create spreadsheets, use data base applications, and use different software.</li></ul><p> <strong>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:</strong> </p><ul><li>Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required. OR Verification of completion of the American Trauma Society (ATS) Trauma Registrar Course and/or AIS Scoring Course. </li><li>CAISS certification required</li></ul>
