GoFasti bridges the gap between world-class developers and designers from LatAm and first-class companies around the globe. </div>We need an English-fluent Full Stack Software Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collaborate with fellow engineers, the product team, and stakeholders to build high-quality tools that meet real business objectives</li> <li>Develop and maintain full-stack features across our modern web applications, from backend APIs to responsive, intuitive frontend user interfaces</li> <li>Create geospatial data visualizations and map-based interfaces leveraging Mapbox GL JS and deck.gl</li> <li>Design and consume event-driven services using Kafka for real-time data streaming and system integration</li> <li>Build and operate cloud-native infrastructure - AWS services (SQS, SNS, S3, MSK), Docker containers, Kubernetes/ArgoCD, and background job workers</li> <li>Ship changes through GitLab CI/CD and evolve database schemas through versioned migrations (Flyway)</li> <li>Instrument what you build with logging, metrics, and alerting, so problems surface before customers find them</li> <li>Take ownership of features, services, and components end-to-end - shaping the technical design, evaluating tradeoffs, shipping the code, and operating it in production</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>4–6 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of shipping robust, production-grade applications</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent demonstrated experience)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex CLI, or similar), and the judgment to review, test, and push back on what they produce</li> <li>Strong command of at least one backend language (Python preferred) and working fluency with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)</li> <li>Working knowledge of modern web-based frontend development - JavaScript/TypeScript and React or an equivalent framework</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication - you can walk another engineer through a tradeoff and explain the same decision to someone outside the team</li> <li>Self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and equally comfortable giving and receiving direction</li> <li>Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to changing priorities</li> </ul> It's a plus: <ul> <li>FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python web frameworks</li> <li>PostgreSQL/PostGIS and geospatial query optimization</li> <li>Next.js and modern React/TypeScript tooling</li> <li>Web mapping and visualization libraries (Mapbox GL JS, deck.gl, Leaflet)</li> <li>Event streaming platforms (Kafka preferred) or other message broker systems</li> <li>Cloud platforms (AWS preferred - S3, SQS, SNS, MSK), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)</li> <li>CI/CD pipelines and automated testing</li> <li>Infrastructure as code (Terraform) or GitOps workflows</li> <li>Observability tools and practices - logging, metrics, alerting</li> <li>Geospatial data processing, remote sensing, or the energy sector</li> <li>GIS tools and libraries (GDAL, PDAL, QGIS, GeoPandas, Fiona, etc.)</li> </ul> Compensation: <ul class="tiptap-list-disc"> <li> The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $3,000 - $5,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset. </li> <li> This position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform. </li> <li> The talent will work remotely allocated at our client. </li> </ul> Here are the steps for this process: Application review/approval > Screening interview with GoFasti's team > We build and send your profile to our client > Profile review/approval by client > Interview with the client > Hiring and onboarding.<div class="content-conclusion">Once you apply for the job, our team will review your resume.
