<p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Working under the guidance of the supervisor responsible, for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the water/wastewater treatment facility on site. The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Operate and monitor WTP/WWTP processes and equipment in accordance with permits, regulations, and site requirements;</li><li>Perform routine sampling, testing, and process adjustments to maintain compliance;</li><li>Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment;</li><li>Complete and maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and required documentation;</li><li>Respond to alarms and operational issues, including after-hours as required while on rotation;</li><li>Follow all site-specific health and safety protocols for remote/mining camp environments;</li><li>Assist other operators and service crew members as required;</li><li>Communicate effectively with site supervisors, client representatives, and AQUATECH staff.</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule</strong></p><ul><li>Rotation: 14 days on / 14 days off;</li><li>Shift length: 12 hours per day (base);</li><li>On-call emergency</li><li>Fly-in / fly-out (FIFO) to mining sites in Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta, etc.;</li><li>Per diem could be applicable for the duration of the rotation;</li><li>Position reports through the AQUATECH office in Cochrane, AB.</li></ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Able to work in a remote camp setting and adapt to varying site conditions;</li><li>Valid WWTP or WTP operator certification — minimum Level I required for WTP;</li><li>Provincial certification from any Canadian province accepted, with the exception of Quebec;</li><li>Willingness and ability to work a FIFO rotation to remote mining sites;</li><li>Previous experience operating water and/or wastewater treatment facilities preferred;</li><li>Willingness to learn and improve your skills;</li><li>Compile and complete reports and all required documentation;</li><li>Be motivated, available, and polyvalent;</li><li>Respond and communicate efficiently to client inquiries and maintain good relations with public, office staff, co-workers, and contractors;</li><li>Have effective organization skills;</li><li>Able to work under pressure quickly and efficiently;</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills;</li><li>Ability to work under minimal supervision;</li><li>Good communication skills, both written and verbal;</li><li>Have a positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.</li></ul> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>Qualified candidates are encouraged to forward their cover letter, resume, and copies of their current certifications by email to:</p><p>Email: <a href="mailto:hr@aquatech-canadian.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">hr@aquatech-canadian.com</a>, <a href="mailto:bmcpherson@aquatech-canadian.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">bmcpherson@aquatech-canadian.com</a>, <a href="mailto:ljohnston@aquatech-canadian.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">ljohnston@aquatech-canadian.com</a></p><p>For email applications please have the subject line read <strong>WTP/WWTP Operator – FIFO, Cochrane, AB</strong>.</p><p>We thank all applicants in advance; however, only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.</p><p>Have a great day to everyone!</p>
