Position: Bilingual Thai STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type: Contract Compensation: $24–$28/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities • Write expert-level prompts in Thai across specialized scientific topics. • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content. • Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations. • Shape model reasoning by strengthening how models handle specialized technical topics in Thai . • Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and downstream performance. • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance . Qualifications Must-Have • PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field. • Native or near-native fluency in Thai , plus business-level written English . • Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield. • Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information. Preferred • Based in Thailand or the wider Southeast Asia region. • Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background. • Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis , molecular biology , microbiology , virology , or genetics . • Research or coursework on chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling. • Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
