<h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>The Nuclear Fuel Engineer will make immediate contributions to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management in GNF-A Fuels Engineering while being technically mentored by a team of high-performing engineers. In this role, you will provide innovative licensing and design solutions that ensure high-quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines. Additionally, this position offers direct utility customer-facing opportunities through deliverables, collaboration, and training.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><u><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></u></p><ul><li>Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems</li><li>Execute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management</li><li>Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers<br />Document and communicate results of technical data generated</li><li>Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in the delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables</li><li>Share information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environment</li><li>Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards</li><li>Partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development<br /> </li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>Required Qualifications</b></u></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>Desired Characteristics</b></u></p><ul><li>Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering</li><li>Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology</li><li>Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes</li><li>Programming experience with Python or C#</li><li>Detail oriented and accountable for results</li><li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills</li><li>Excellent oral &amp; written communication skills<br /> </li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b><b><b>Additional Information</b></b></b></span></h1><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="text-align:left"><b>Relocation Assistance Provided: </b>No</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>#LI-Remote - This is a remote position<p></p><p></p>
