Job description
Accountabilities:
• Partner with employees and managers to communicate and interpret Human Resources policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal employment regulations.
• Provide managers with practical guidance on performance concerns, corrective action plans, employee relations matters, and involuntary terminations.
• Respond to employee relations issues, helping assess concerns, support appropriate resolutions, and escalate matters when necessary.
• Support and conduct employee relations investigations, including gathering relevant information, reviewing employment records, documenting findings, and assisting with appropriate follow-up.
• Create and facilitate HR training programs and learning sessions for managers and employees.
• Assist with developing and updating job descriptions for new and existing positions and conduct compensation analysis to support workforce planning and organizational decisions.
• Support responses to EEOC, Department of Labor, and other employment-related claims by gathering historical employment and organizational information.
• Assist with OSHA and workplace safety initiatives and help manage safety programs across assigned regions and offices.
• Partner with management on promotions, staffing changes, and other employee actions to ensure appropriate documentation is completed.
• Coordinate with HR data and payroll processing teams to ensure employee changes are accurately entered and processed in the relevant HR systems.
• Oversee and support HR activities for an employee population of 500+ people across assigned regions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential HR documentation while supporting additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• Travel to support business and HR needs as required, with travel expected to be up to 15%.
Requirements
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Human Resources management or a closely related HR function.
• At least 1 year of direct experience handling employee relations matters, with demonstrated ability to address workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws, regulations, and HR practices.
• Experience supporting employee relations investigations, performance management, corrective actions, or related HR processes.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with compensation analysis and job description development is a plus.
• Experience using Oracle HRIS or similar human resources information systems is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple HR matters and deadlines accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and well-documented work while handling sensitive employee information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, and HR stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
• Comfortable supporting both employees and management in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare and technology environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
