Job description
<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Telecom Estimator</strong> to join our team and support the successful planning and delivery of complex construction projects, with a strong emphasis on <strong>Network Infrastructure</strong>. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with project teams to develop competitive and accurate bids.</p><p>This role requires a strong understanding of commercial construction practices, Network Infrastructure (ISP/OSP), cost analysis, and technical construction documentation. Candidates with a background in <strong>Construction Management</strong> are strongly preferred.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction cost estimates.</li><li>Review and analyze drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documentation to develop accurate budgets and bid proposals.</li><li>Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for construction projects.</li><li>Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical cost information.</li><li>Identify potential project risks and cost-saving opportunities during the estimating process.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, owners, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction phase.</li><li>Monitor market conditions, labor trends, material pricing, and industry best practices.</li><li>Participate in client meetings and project planning sessions as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Cost Estimating & Budget Development</li><li>Quantity Takeoffs</li><li>Data Center Construction Knowledge</li><li>Bid Management</li><li>Value Engineering</li><li>Contract Document Review</li><li>Risk Assessment</li><li>Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination</li><li>Financial Analysis</li><li>Project Planning & Execution</li></ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>5 years of construction estimating experience</strong>.</li><li>Minimum <strong>2 years of experience estimating or supporting Network Infrastructure projects</strong>.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects.</li><li>Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.</li><li>Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing detailed cost analyses.</li><li>Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines simultaneously.</li><li>Must be <strong>authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Educational background in <strong>Construction Management</strong> strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience with mission-critical facilities, data centers, hyperscale campuses, or high-tech construction projects.</li><li>Familiarity with preconstruction services, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management.</li><li>Experience with estimating platforms such as Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, Planswift, or similar tools.</li><li>Experience working with general contractors, EPC firms, or owners' representatives.</li></ul>
