Based in Boston, the company works directly with top-ranked, nonprofit American universities to build innovative programs and high-touch, technology-driven services that help talented students thrive and become global citizens.</p> <p><strong><u>Job Overview</u></strong></p> <p>The Finance Systems Administrator will help maintain and support our NetSuite ERP environment. This role will report to the Senior Director of FP&amp;A and will sit at the intersection of Finance and IT, ensuring our financial systems run smoothly and support accurate, timely reporting. You'll work closely with FP&amp;A, Accounting, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to configure, maintain, and support NetSuite and related finance systems, with opportunities to grow into more advanced system ownership over time.</p> <p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage day-to-day NetSuite administration: saved searches, custom fields, reports, and dashboards</li> <li>Partner with Finance and IT teams to understand requirements and assist with system configuration</li> <li>Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by monitoring system reliability and troubleshooting basic issues</li> <li>Assist with maintaining integrations between NetSuite and other business systems, specifically Salesforce and Coupa; monitor data flow, troubleshoot sync errors, and resolve integration issues as they arise</li> <li>Support NetSuite enhancement projects and upgrades under the guidance of senior FP&amp;A/systems leadership</li> <li>Build and maintain reports, workflows, saved searches, and dashboards for FP&amp;A and Accounting stakeholders</li> <li>Maintain system documentation following the Shorelight change management process, including process workflows, integration logic, and configuration changes</li> <li>Assist with testing during NetSuite release cycles (bi-annual upgrades) and flag potential impacts to current processes</li> <li>Provide first-line end-user training and support for NetSuite users across Finance and other departments</li> <li>Help coordinate with NetSuite support and third-party consultants/implementation partners as needed</li> <li>Support data integrity and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements<strong> </strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Security</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures</li> <li>Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you</li> <li>Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to Shorelight Security<strong><u> </u></strong></li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field</li> <li>1–3 years of experience administering or supporting NetSuite (or similar ERP) in a finance/accounting context</li> <li>Foundational understanding of core finance/accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, financial close)</li> <li>Exposure to NetSuite configuration: custom fields, saved searches, basic workflows, roles &amp; permissions</li> <li>Experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce; particularly in the context of a NetSuite–Salesforce integration</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data at a granular level</li> <li>Good communication skills — able to work with both technical and finance/business stakeholders</li> <li>Strong written and verbal English communication skills</li> <li>Willingness to learn integrations, SuiteScript basics, and reporting tools (SuiteAnalytics/SuiteQL) on the job</li> <li>Experience working with global, distributed teams is a plus (given the reporting relationship to a US-based leader)</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>NetSuite certification (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, or similar)</li> <li>Ability to work overlapping hours with a US-based team (ideally 1-3 hours overlapping with US Eastern business hours)</li> <li>Experience working successfully with non-native English speakers</li> <li>Experience with Coupa or other procurement/spend management platforms</li> <li>Experience supporting multi-subsidiary and multi-currency NetSuite instances</li> <li>Experience with FloQast or other close management software</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Application Process</u></strong></p> <p>To apply for this position, please visit the Shorelight Careers page to submit an application with a resume and cover letter. </p> <p>Background Check Required--Education, Criminal, Identity</p> <p>Shorelight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
