Job description
Psychology Today is launching a new video-first weekly interview podcast and looking for a producer to own the full technical pipeline and support light editorial prep.
Responsibilities:
• Advise on our tech stack, including recording platform, gear, and setup at outset.
• Advise on and help set up our recording space (audio, video, lighting).
• Record and edit weekly video episodes: pacing, cuts, audio cleanup, supers/lower-thirds, and occasional on-screen graphics
• Write show notes for each episode.
• Publish to all major podcast/video platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple, etc.).
• Create short clips for PT team to post across social platforms.
What we're looking for:
• Strong, demonstrated technical/video-editing skills.
• Comfort with on-screen graphics/supers.
• Experience publishing across podcast/video platforms and producing social-ready clips
• Organized, reliable, able to support outreach/prep without owning full editorial direction

Compensation: Contract, monthly retainer, $1500–$3,000/month, based on experience and scope.
