<p><strong>Contract: Permanent contract – Full time</strong><br> <strong>Position: Field-based / Travelling position</strong><br> <strong>Territory: Northern half of France</strong><br> <strong>Location: Ideally based in the Paris / Île-de-France area or nearby</strong><br> <strong>Reporting to: Team Leader – Material Characterization</strong></p><p>As a <strong>Field Technical Sales Engineer</strong>, you will be the key technical and commercial contact for customers using the <strong>Brabender product range</strong> within your territory.</p><p>Combining technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset, you will identify customer needs, advise them throughout their projects and recommend the most suitable solutions for their applications, primarily in the <strong>plastics and polymers</strong> industry.</p><p>This is a <strong>field-based position</strong> involving regular customer visits and a high degree of autonomy in managing and developing your territory.</p><p>Your Main Responsibilities :</p><ul><li>Develop sales of the <strong>Brabender product range</strong> across the northern half of France</li><li>Identify and generate <strong>new business opportunities</strong></li><li>Develop, manage and maintain a portfolio of industrial customers</li><li>Analyze customers’ <strong>technical and application requirements</strong></li><li>Recommend tailored solutions in the fields of <strong>plastics, polymers, extrusion and compounding</strong></li><li>Present our solutions and conduct <strong>technical equipment demonstrations</strong></li><li>Provide <strong>first-level technical support</strong> to customers</li><li>Support customers throughout their projects, from initial needs assessment through to solution follow-up</li><li>Build and maintain <strong>strong, long-term customer relationships</strong></li><li>Manage and follow up on projects and sales opportunities within your territory</li><li>Work closely with Anton Paar France’s sales, technical and application teams</li><li>Collaborate with the <strong>Brabender teams in Germany</strong> to provide the most appropriate solutions for our customers and contribute to achieving sales targets</li></ul><p>These responsibilities reflect the core scope of the original position, including customer needs analysis, technical demonstrations, first-level technical support, customer relationship development and collaboration with the German team.</p> <p>You have a <strong>higher education degree in science or engineering</strong>, ideally in <strong>materials science, polymers, plastics engineering, materials chemistry</strong> or a related field.</p><p>You have at least <strong>3 years of technical experience</strong>, ideally gained in an environment related to materials, plastics or polymers. The original job description requires at least three years of technical experience in material testing and/or quality control.</p><p>Knowledge of <strong>extrusion, compounding or polymer processing technologies</strong> would be a strong advantage.</p><p>You also bring :&#xa0;</p><ul><li>A strong interest in <strong>business development and customer relations</strong></li><li>A genuine interest in <strong>materials, plastics and polymers</strong></li><li>The ability to understand customers’ technical challenges and recommend appropriate solutions</li><li>Excellent <strong>communication, listening and advisory skills</strong></li><li>Strong organizational and priority-management skills</li><li>A high level of <strong>autonomy</strong> in managing your activities and travel schedule</li><li>A proactive, dynamic and results-oriented mindset</li><li><strong>Professional English proficiency</strong>, essential for communicating with our international teams</li><li>A <strong>valid driving licence</strong></li></ul><p>Location &amp; Travel :</p><p>This is a <strong>field-based position</strong> covering primarily the <strong>northern half of France</strong>.</p><p>Regular travel is required to visit customers and prospects, conduct demonstrations and support projects throughout the territory.</p><p>To ensure efficient coverage of the region and facilitate travel, the successful candidate should <strong>ideally be based in the Paris / Île-de-France area or nearby</strong>.</p><p>The position requires a <strong>high level of mobility and autonomy in organizing customer visits and travel schedules</strong>.</p><p>Occasional travel to other parts of France and abroad will also be required, particularly for <strong>training and meetings with the Brabender teams in Germany</strong>.
