<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description:</b></p><p><b><span>About the Position</span></b><br /><span>The Advising Operations Coordinator role at The Chicago School oversees operational processes and systems related to student advising. This is an operations support role with the university&#39;s Student Advising team. Success in this role includes effective collaboration with students, faculty, staff, academic<br />departments, and Student Support Counselors to deliver a strong advising experience to students. Key responsibilities include managing advising-related data, department schedules, enrollment processes, reporting, and system accuracy.</span><br /> </p><p><b><span>This is a remote role. The Advising Operations Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Advising Operations and will be assigned management of the advising-related operations of a subset of The Chicago School&#39;s academic departments. Domestic travel and work outside of standard business hours will be required to support key activities and events.</span></b></p><p><br /><b><span>Principal Duties<br />Information Management</span></b></p><ul><li>Centrally track advising-related data and ensure that data are accessible, accurate, and up to date.</li><li><span>Track student information related to general academic progress, dissertation progress and coordination,</span> <span>administrative withdrawals, degree audits, faculty advisor assignments, and cross-campus enrollment.</span></li><li><span>Review commencement eligibility, residency, study abroad, and other academic needs to ensure that students remain on track toward graduation.</span></li><li><span>Manage implementation of internal articulation agreements for students moving between academic programs at The Chicago School.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with academic departments and Student Support Counselors on enrollment, course</span> <span>scheduling, and student support-related operational needs.</span></li><li><span>Generate and review reports to support enrollment management, course scheduling, system audits,</span> <span>student tracking, and other advising operations.</span></li><li><span>Conduct routine system and data audits to ensure course and enrollment information is accurate,</span> <span>complete, and up to date.</span></li><li><span>Identify and resolve data discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate departments to address issues and maintain data and system integrity.</span></li></ul><p><b><span>Schedule Management</span></b></p><ul><li>Lead course scheduling to meet student needs, considering average credit hours, class sizes, course <span>sequences, breaks in enrollment, and time to graduation.</span></li><li><span>Build and maintain courses using CampusVue/Campus Nexus and other applicable university systems, including assigning faculty, cross-listing courses, reviewing course capacity and enrollment, and making necessary scheduling adjustments.</span></li><li><span>Participate in enrollment meetings and term-preparation activities to review course offerings, enrollment, instructor assignments, and other registration-related needs.</span></li><li><span>Review course schedules and enrollment data to identify necessary updates, including deactivating courses, assigning TBA instructors, reviewing courses with low or no enrollment, and making other scheduling adjustments as needed.</span></li></ul><p><b><span>Other Duties</span></b></p><ul><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><span>1-2 years of administrative or higher education experience.</span></li><li><span>Bachelor&#39;s degree.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Required Skills</span></b></p><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li><li><span>Strong time management and prioritization skills.</span></li><li><span>Highly organized and attentive to detail.</span></li><li><span>Ability to manage projects independently.</span></li><li><span>Strong administrative skills.</span></li><li><span>Team-oriented.</span></li><li><span>Experience with CampusVue/Campus Nexus or similar student information systems, including course</span> <span>scheduling, enrollment management, data review, and report generation.</span></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The Chicago School offers a generous compensation and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work for a leader in the field of education.
