Job description

Accountabilities • Plan, coordinate, and execute regulatory examinations as well as GSE, agency, investor, and related reviews. • Serve as the primary examination and review contact for regulators, agencies, and investors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the process. • Monitor, analyze, and respond to regulatory and investor inquiries, ensuring responses are accurate, complete, well-supported, and delivered within required deadlines. • Review examination and information requests, determine the appropriate internal owners, coordinate data collection, and manage follow-ups across multiple teams and external partners. • Validate submitted information and documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable requirements. • Track examination and review progress, communicate status to relevant stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. • Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports accurately and on time, including the Mortgage Call Report (MCR). • Maintain examination findings, remediation activities, and related information in the department's issues-tracking database. • Support the development and execution of remediation plans arising from examinations and reviews. • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders while proactively identifying and resolving issues. • Contribute to compliance projects and other regulatory initiatives as needed. Requirements • Bachelor's degree required. • At least 8 years of compliance experience within the mortgage or broader financial services industry. • At least 3 years of experience managing or supporting regulatory examinations and reviews, including oversight of remediation plans. • Demonstrated experience managing or assisting with examinations and GSE, investor, and agency reviews within a mortgage lending environment. • Strong familiarity with mortgage regulations, financial services best practices, and GSE and investor requirements. • Excellent organizational, process management, and project management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to review complex requests, identify appropriate sources of information, and validate responses. • Confident and professional when interacting with external examiners, regulators, agencies, and investors. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong sense of accountability when handling regulatory matters and sensitive information. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and managing competing priorities.
